Hi, I'm Pei-Yun Tu

I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, Pei-Yun Tu(杜佩芸) is my Chinese name, you can also call me "Tina".
I am a master student of Computer Science at National Tsing Hua University under the supervision of Professor Hao-Chuan Wang. I got to know more about User Experience (UX) in my junior year, then played an active part in activities (e.g., courses, contests, talks, workshops, conferences) and fortunately received awards in several contests. In my works, I always followed the User-Centered Design (UCD) process: identification, design, evaluation and developed knowledge and skills from different phases.
I also studied in interdisciplinary programs and earned three program certificates in college, including Innovative Design Program, Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management Program and Program of Information and Communication Media, it gives me a broader background knowledge.
In my maater study, I engage in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research with a focus on social interaction such as Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) and conversation support technology. In the past months, I visited Computer Supported Collaboration and Learning Lab in Pennsylvania State University as a research scholar and collaborated with Distinguished Professor John M. Carroll on a location-based microvolunteering platform. I'm currently working on my master thesis research which is aim to understand the perceptions of delayed instant messages in Computer-Mediated Communication of romantic relations.
